Captivated by Jerusalem’s beauty, MARCELO BENDAHÁN (b. Spain, 1970) spent much of 2007 and 2008 exploring the city with his camera in order to create Jerusalem Always. Bendahán began his professional career in 1995 after graduating from the School of Comunication of Madrid. Approached by the Performing Library of London, he spent five years taking pictures of London’s fascinating musical scene. His work has appeared in BBC Music, the Daily Telegraph, the Sunday Times, and Gala Magazine. In 2004, Bendahán published Amsterdam Always, a captivating photo album that portrays the city as it has never been seen before. The following year, he published Melilla Viva, which offers unique insight on this enclave in North Africa that has belonged to Spain for over 500 years. Bendahán lives in Amsterdam with his family.
